I studied abroad in Germany the summer after my freshman year as part of a bio systems engineering program. The program focused on sustainable energy systems and inspired me to pursue a bio systems degree as well as complete my sustainability minor. The class received lectures from renown experts covering things from solar energy to fuel efficiency in public transit. Additionally this experience introduced me to new cultures first hand. I love traveling and immersing myself in local culture which I believe stems from my love of teamwork and sports.
