Welcome Leader

As a Clemson University Welcome Leader I provided support and guidance to incoming freshman and transfer students during their first six weeks on campus. During this time I was able to positively impact students by providing a personal resource for their transition into college life. I facilitate a small groups of 15-20 students throughout multiple activates ranging from summer reading dialog to campus sponsored theme parties. After this week I remain in touch as a resource to help ensure a seamless transition into college life. This experience allowed me connect with other leaders who are passionate about Clemson University and its future alumni.

Phi Sigma Kappa Executive Board
Tropical Bros Brand Ambassador
As a two year member of my fraternity's executive board I continued to hone my leadership skills. I led our chapter meetings by narrating a power point presentation and facilitating topical discussions. I was also the head of the Judicial Board. This experience helped me develop the ability to keep personal relationships out of professional interactions. Additionally I was responsible for overseeing fraternal operations and developing leadership skills in membership.

As a Tropical Bros Brand Ambassador I planned and executed a growth strategy of brand awareness though my personal network and across social media platforms. I was able to drive sales by focusing on different target markets that would identify with the brand and its merchandise. Tropical Bros, being a new enterprise, encouraged entrepreneurship and creativity. This allowed me to thrive as their ideas and my ideas merged into OUR ideas. Through this process I gained valuable skills in marketing strategy and in running social media accounts.

Recreational Sports
Sports have always been a huge part of my life, in fact my first word was "ball"! I have been extremely active in team sports from a very young age and was elected captain of my high school football and soccer teams. Team chemistry and mutual goals are key to championship level success and I believe that holds true off the field as well. Sports bring people from different cultures and backgrounds together and facilitates teamwork. No matter the situation I strive to create a team like community that can achieve a mutual goal. Although I am a natural leader, I recognize that role players are necessary and I have no problem stepping into an unsung open role if there are too many cooks in the kitchen.
I am still actively playing sports through Clemson intramural programs and adult leagues. My fraternity's team won the Greek League Flag Football Championship which gave us an unbelievable experience when we were recognized at halftime in Death Valley for raising $1000 for Special Olympics and $2000 for Dabo's All-In Foundation! Go Tigers!
